Palm Sunday Breakfast
« on: March 24, 2013, 08:15:04 PM »
I went to the Palm Sunday Breakfast at the firehall in town this morning.

YUM-YUM!

Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, milk, juice, coffee.

The fire department does a great job for this each year.

Two weeks ago I went to breakfast at the Masonic Hall, and the food there was even better.

All ya can eat at both functions.
Illinois, south of the gun controllers in Chi town

We have to give credit to the Lady's of Eastern Star for the great meals at the Masonic Hall.     My mothers  mother was an Eastern Star and Mother has promissed her ring to me, not to wear on my hand but on a chain around my neck.

Once a year the Masons host a dinner for the widows of Masons, What a table Eastern Star puts on, the most impressive was the dinner they put on when Dad was installed as Master of this Lodge.   We 6 flew cross country for that shindig and were so proud of Dad, a once in a life time experience for us, unfortunately I was too young or not yet born when grandpa and his father had the similar ceremony's.
