It may be a bad storm, but 98% of this is Weather Channel hype. Whatever you do, stay tuned to the Weather Channel.
The Weather Channel, and only the Weather Channel, is naming snowstorms like hurricanes, this one of course is "Nemo", to add to the sense of impending disaster.
The next time it snows, it'll be Winter Storm Orko, believe it or not, and later on, after the apocalyptic snowstorm Triton we'll try to survive Winter Storm Ukko.
I'm not making that up. Those are the official Weather Channel names.
So whatever you do, stay tuned!
The last one, a couple of weeks ago, the reporter was standing by a highway where traffic seemed to be flowing normally, with snow barely up to his shoe tops.
He said some had lucked out locally, though it was much worse than it looked.
He then took a few steps toward the road, into the ditch!! With snow now up to his knees, he gave a dire warning to be cautious in this horrible storm.
That is true Weather Channel reporting. It's all due to global warming and George W. Bush.
