Watched In Time last night. What a waste of time.

Ostensibly, it is a sop to the Anonymous/Occupy types but it just leaves one at the end thinking, "so?"

I think it was written by the same guy who wrote Gattaca and it was essentially the same movie as that except I remember Gattaca being better.

Watched the symbol laden Man Who Would Be King on Saturday night. 1975 starring Sean Connery, Michael Caine, and Christopher Plumber.

Smashing good adventure movie heavily textured with Masonic lore and symbolism which almost gets in the way of the story. Which was probably the point. Much better than Connery's other post-bond symbol-fest, Zardoz, which is most famous for Sean Connery wearing a red diaper.

Still recovering from the head crash of my C drive. Took NINE HOURS to download the Avery label maker for Microsoft Word to the Dell that I'm bridging to better times. Okay, I'm on a 28k dial-up!

But it gave me time to watch the first five Jesse Stone movies - again.

I went to the new Bruce Willis movie, A Good Day to Die Hard this weekend.  If you liked the first however many Die Hard movies there were, then you'll probably like this one.  Trouble just seems to follow this John McClain character around wherever he goes.

One of the greatest bullshit lines in movie history:

"Yippee kigh-yay, mother****er" as McLain lights his Zippo and ignites jet fuel in a raging blizzard which results in, of course, a 747 jumbo jet being blown out of the sky by...

...jet fuel.

 :rotf: :lmao: :rotf:

But HELL YEAH! I'd pay to go see another Die Hard film. You betcha.  :-)  (Mrs E has already been served notice.)

Saw "Identity Thief" a couple nights ago.

One of those "how much really nasty shit can happen to a poor schmuck who's simply trying to get his identity back" movies.

Seriously, the antagonist in this film - the fat girl (actress' name is Melissa McCarthy) - does a great job in showing her faux cruelty and hidden demons. It's worth a buck or two to see this film.

I thought it was about Jason Bateman stealing Jerry McConnell's identity.

Just watched Skyfall on DirecTV. Loved it! I was skeptical when they hired Craig as the new Bond; but I have loved all of the new Bond movies. He's doing a great job. I can't wait for the next one.

Nope. The fat girl (who is actually very endearing) is the one that is doing the stealing.

I watched Taken 2(I liked the first better).

Savages(it was ok--worth spending a couple hours on if you have time to burn)

Tried to watch The Collection; I'm finding as I get older the gratuitous gore is just not my thing. I like horror, but gratuitous violence like Saw anymore is just--what's the point and it disturbs me even. Just don't care for it. That one got shut off btw.

"Sinister" with Ethan Hawke.

Started out pretty good. The 8mm film scenes were disturbing, but the ending was.....meh.......been done. Kinda of a let down.

That's what some other review said about that movie.  The first hour was good, but the last 45 minutes or so was lacking the creep factor of the beginning.

Went to see " A Good Day to Die Hard" for Valentine's.

I liked it! Except there was not one "yippee kay yea...." in the whole movie.  :bawl:

Watched "Day and Knight" or is it the other way around? The one with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. Totally improbable, but the stunts were good and lots of chasin', fightin', shootin' going on. It was better than what I expected. On the other hand...compared with the other choices on tv the other night, it was outstanding.

I watched The Devil Inside last night. Alone. It was pretty scary and a little bit of horror movie dumb thrown in at the same time.

We watched Breaking Dawn Pt 2.

I actually liked it. I think it was the humor thrown in. Besides, I liked watching Bella beating the shit out of Vamps, finally.

Oh, her (CGI) baby, what a creepy looking little shit.

That would be Batman Begins.

I watched the remake of Clash of the Titans on Tuesday. Interesting how they threw out almost all of the original myth. The first movie at least had some mythology. And Ray HarryHausen effects. Take that CGI!

Oh yeah, the remake has your lead ninja from Batman Begins once again out to destroy a city because of the sins of that city.

I hate Liam Neeson.

His face looks like a cat face. Maybe if I can find a few more I can start a website, "Celebrities whose faces look like cat faces." Like the "Men who look like lesbians" site.

I watched a TMC flick today from 1955.  I liked it.

It's about Jack the Ripper starring Jack Palance.

And of all the most unlikely people to cast - Aunt Bea from the Andy Griffith show is in it - playing her usual ditzy role.  :o

Machine Gun Preacher.

A very good and moving movie about a Ex-Biker Gang member turned preacher who opens an orphanage in Africa.

It's on Netflix right now.

Watched Demolition Man last night. I saw it back in the day and it was entertaining back then but now it is our reality. Bloombergville.

Then I watched Max Payne. I had three beers by then and their were commercial interruptions. But it seemed kind of mediocre.
