Howdy from Johnny Yuma
« on: January 20, 2013, 03:28:35 PM »
Thought I'd actually post a "Howdy" .

Teri from Mass brought me over , so , if anything goes wrong , blame her !!

Krakka and I have been together since meeting on Ronald Reagan.com in 2002 and a "first date" at the Reagan home in Dixon,IL  in 03...

I'm still on RR.com ,although not real active , was on  Free Consrvatives , pre-meltdown , currently on Liberty Dwells and now here ...
still the same Yuma from '02....

Served on the local county board '86-'90
was a gun dealer until the first AWB went into law ...
Pro God , Pro Family , Pro Gun , Pro Constitution , Pro "Go Fast and Turn Left" motorsports (but , really , anything with HorsePower is all right with me ...)
US History buff, antique farm machinery buff  and rail fan , in my spare time ...

Dairy farmed until '04 , drove truck OTR , sold cars at the local Ford dlrshp , been a Schwans food guy since '06 ...

Sweet Krakka likes to remind me that I'll be a half century old in July ...  brat !   :thatsright:

Hell, Johnny, fifty ain't too bad. Been there and done that better'n a quarter century ago. Seems like yesterday. Yuk, yuk, yuk!
Our Bill of Rights constitutes a cluster of little foxholes of liberty ground into the hard cold face of history by helpless men for a shield against the lash of tyrants. They are the result of distrust of power and distrust of men in power. They are a recognition of Lord Acton's statement of a truth eternal--"power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

The "Banner Ad" states ... "We don't want younger men , we want you! "

Even the daggone banner ad is mocking me !!!

Hubby just turned 50 too.  I'm almost seven years older than he is...I finally got to tell him..."gee honey, how does it feel to be a half century old?"   :rotf:

Don't believe that crap, Miss Krakka. 'Tain't so. I feel every one of these 77's. Hope I feel everyone of my 79's as well, and a big bunch of my 80's.

Besides, I tried feeling young once, but Momma Shooter got pissed and ran her off. :rotf:

Almost ten yrs!

Dylan came along in 2006 even though we were both fixed. Still trying to figure that one out. Guess we had plans but God had other plans.....

And to think I tried and tried and never had one...  We almost adopted, went through all the MAPP training hoops and everything else, then WHAM!  I got sick and almost died.  We prayed about it and I guess it just wasn't meant for us to have any.   Think that's how I ended up with the two disabled adults I have now... Not to mention when hubby's Mom died, her dying words were "take care of my cats"...ack-ack...then she croaked. I love hubby's Mom, but I couldn't help but think when she said that..."oh no you didn't say that..  :rotf: Never mind we already had five, then ended up with her five along with his sisters two great Danes and a sickly Cocker Spaniel...  Well, they all died, we're down to five cats and Gunny now...  Yep...God had a plan alright...
