How ya'll are!
« on: January 19, 2013, 12:30:40 PM »
Greetings one and all. I am Bayou Bolliver and new to the site. Label me "fed up" with the fed gov't. Heck even my local gov't is whacko. I'm worried about the world my children will inherit. Dumbfounded that in this fiscal climate we let a Liberal Law Professor defeat a World Renowned Fiscal Turnaround Specialist in the presidential election. Un-Effing-Believable.  :banghead:

Likes: fiscal responsibility, small gov't, wildlife conservation

Dislikes: current administration,  liberal subliminal propaganda lexicon, Obama press corps (MSM).

I've been on a couple of other supposedly non-political forums recently that started leaning too far to the left. Figured I might as well quit standing on the sidelines and take the leap into true conservative waters. Don't have a lot of time to post due to work and family. Ex-Navy. Hunt, fish, football, golf, kids. Not necessarily in that order.

Good luck to all getting through these next 4 years.

Welcome.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Welcome BB, many of us feel your pain feeling abandoned, disenchanted, betrayed by TPTB.  I have hope that somehow we can stop this runaway obamatrain, but little expectation it will happen.  I have found peace amidst the chaos of this last election by understanding that until it all falls apart...and it will...we won't be able to rebuild and we will.  Let it all fall apart under Obama if it must fail and fall.

The liberals can blame the pubs all they want, but it will go down in history as happening under the Kenyon's watch.

Not even close. The Commander-in-Chief I served defended the constitution. Nobody back then ever imagined a POTUS who would circumvent the constitution for his own political gain. I have come to grips with it, but sometimes I throw up a little.

Looking forward to becoming a part of this community.

Welcome from another noob.
Our Bill of Rights constitutes a cluster of little foxholes of liberty ground into the hard cold face of history by helpless men for a shield against the lash of tyrants. They are the result of distrust of power and distrust of men in power. They are a recognition of Lord Acton's statement of a truth eternal--"power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
