Our Second Amendment right to bear arms was put in place to prevent one thing, the rise of a tyrannical government with no way for the people to stop it. If the government (and by extension, the military it controls) has semi-automatic or automatic weapons, then those weapons should be available to the public as well. By allowing them to wield weaponry that you yourself cannot have due to their laws, you are giving them the ability to govern you the way THEY choose, not the way YOU choose.Our government is supposed to be OF the people, FOR the people, and BY the people...but in order for the people to be a viable part of that government, we need to be able to stop it on the day that it decides to no longer work for us.*Ga Boy*

I do hope they'll call ahead and make an appointment to come take my weapons. I've been awfully busy this holiday season - what with alternating between to clinging to guns and my religion and all - and I'd hate to be out of the house and miss them when they come.
I've just finished "filing down the sear" on all my weapons, including a .50 cal. muzzleloader and a few shotguns, one a Model 12 pump. The DUmmies told me that's all I need to make them fully auto. Hope I did it right.

By we I mean the people in this country who are sick the world seeing their country as a asylum with heavily armed inmates. We are the people who are not going to repeat once again the cycle of horror, recrimination, empty words and a quick return to business as usual. We are the people who have had it with a political lobby masquerading as a users group that finds it politically expedient to put weapons of indiscriminate slaughter in the same category as legitimate implements of sport or self defense. We are the people who sadly had to have one more unspeakable horror before we decided to finally stand up to the NRA and its pawns in congress who quake in terror of their disapproval. I hope the president has our back. This insanity has to stop now.

Knowing well what obumble and socialist/facists would pull after the CT tragedy, I ordered 2000 more rounds of ammo, 10 HIGH CAPACITY Glock magazines, 30 HIGH CAPACITY AR magazines, and a new "assault" rifle (this one in 5.45 x 39).
