I know I have been a member here for months but just got around to setting up a picture but was just looking at others pictures and thinking they are all great.
Anyone want to share why you picked the one you have?

Mine goes back to the 2008 campaign and Sarah Palin, I loved her lipstick comment so I think of myself as a lipstick renegade.

Watch the scene from YF, and you'll understand.  I was about 10 when I watched it for the first time, then I watched the original Frankenstein movie and I thought it was hilarious.

I was in a hurry to post, but I didn't want to hang out with a caveman avatar.  So I quickly chose one of the oldest & most unoriginal Internet avatars, the benign "limecat" avatar.

Mine is a pic from after 9-11, the cross they found and set up at the ruins in NY.  On other boards, I have changed my pic depending on various things, but think I'll just keep this one on here.

Mine's me, from the summer of 2009.

I haven't changed, other than the loss of about seven pounds since then.

I'm not the type who likes to show off, but it's there as a public service for the primitives on Skins's island, so they know what franksolich looks like.  In case you're not familiar with the primitives, they've been stalking franksolich since summer 2005, and despite my best efforts to feed them clues about my identity, they still get it all wrong.

So I thought using this picture as my avatar would help.

Mine's for the 343 FDNY members who dies in the WTC attacks.  I need to update it a bit; a good friend of mine who was in Engine 7 ("Lucky 7") on that day, and who drove back into the city to get with his fellow firefighters that day (he had just left shift before the attack), died fighting a fire in Brooklyn on April 16th of 2012.  I'm going to miss him.

Mine is for the season of Halloween.  I then change it from time to time, picking classic beauties from old movies, just because I'm an old fashioned girl.

Thanks for picking an avatar, I hate the caveman too.  I encourage everyone to pick one.  Go to google images, and just shop around.  It's easy and fun!

Mine is the shoulder sleeve insignia of the Berlin Brigade, in which I served almost 9 years in one continuous assignment.

That parent unit, and my own unit the 298th Army Band, no longer exist.

You might call that a casualty of winning the Cold War.  :-)

Mine is Clint Eastwood and I picked it out after the last one from 9/11 had run its course for me. I usually have something new once in awhile because I have promised that on this site I wouldn't put my original avatar up till Nobama is out of office . to see what my original avatar is here you go.
