I think God came up with salt shortly after He made the potato.

I love a salt and pepper rub on my steaks.  Kosher salt, cracked black pepper, and some lemon pepper.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

That is all good as well...the pepper makes the steak so much better...

Salt & Pepper goes with everything.

My mom never cooked with salt and when I finally realized how much better everything tastes when you add it in while cooking instead of afterwards, I was hooked on salt.  :)

Sea salt is kosher too.  Ask your Rabbi.

LOL.  I like kosher salt because it's those nice big flakes and easy to control how much you're putting on food.

I have some rock salt in the kitchen.  When I lived in the apartment, it iced so bad that I had to ice the steps (I lived on the 3rd floor) or I was gonna bust my butt every day coming and going.  LOL  I did look hilarious that first time without the salt, cause I had to hold on to the railing so hard to make sure I didn't slip.

Seriously. There's plenty of things to put salt on, why should a cantaloupe or melon have to suffer?

I can do without the salt on a really good baked potato-as long as I have salted butter-but it is not completely "dressed" for me without cracked black pepper.

Not the showy "peppermill with a flourish" thing, just the little McCormick supermarket grinder is fine. Yum.
