Well I recently took over one of the children ministries at my church. It's been fun so far. First time I told the story of Esther, and the kids were great. They were listening, and they learned something. Second time I became a little discouraged during the message, and I felt I messed up some how. God ended up working, and two little girls got saved.

In addition to my discouraging morning, I started praying more for a direction on where to teach and preach to the kids. I believe I have a talent at story telling than expository preaching. Explaining verse by verse may not be my talent, but I believe I can tell a story of something related. Expository preaching I've always had trouble with. So I prayed for a direction, and I'm going to be taking the kids through Exodus.

I'm going to make a Moses costume similar to Charlton Heston's from The Ten Commandments, and each Sunday we're in Exodus I'm going to wear it. Going to bring Fried Chicken and Biscuits to eat to symbolize manna and quail. I'm going to make the Ten Commandment our of styrofoam board. Each week I'll let the kids put one commandment up, and teach it to them.

Sounds really good.  Really good, CC.  You go guy!

Interesting question.

If memory serves Protestants receive absolution through baptism so a death bed absolution not necessary but may be requested and granted as his preaching and praying may help the individual believer develop a greater sense of having received God's forgiveness.

Protestants do receive general absolution through confession of sins.

I never did understand why people that have never heard of Jesus but do great works for humanity go to hell.  Why does it matter that those that follow the WORD of their God if it is to benefit mankind ?   Only Allah and Mohammad a insane ,sick, a self proclaimed prophet  of Evil intent is anything unlike the other prophet's.

Why all this one can only be saved through faith, and we all know there are few atheists in a fox hole.

When the chips are down most turn to the God they were raised with, Could it be that God wears many hats under many different names ?  It is more like the different traditions of faith that separate us not the principle one of ONE GOD.   Regardless of what we call God, to follow his instructions or try to at any rate should make all--except the Muslims --a part of mankind.

It is said that mankind cannot get to heaven on good works alone, Why is that one must one must follow any one faith, Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran or Buddhist to be favored by God.   Jews seem to have an open door as they are the chosen ones.

Why good people go to hell:

Rom 1:19  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

What Jesus says:

Joh 3:1  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Joh 3:2  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Joh 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

My wife teachers a Sunday school class of small children. She loves it and them and they love her. They swarm around her whenever they can. Once a month it's her turn to do what we call "Children's Church" during church worship service. It's the only time that all the little children, even the very youngest and most shy, will go down front for a lesson. It means a lot to my wife.....and it does my heart good to see the kids love her so much.

I don't know how long for this world Pope Frank will serve the Church, he seems to have been rattling to many cages lately.  When he starts messing with the private fortunes of the Bishops and Cardinals, I think he needs a food taster.

I do believe that was the major reason our last Pope ran for the hills, poor old man, there was no one he could trust.

It is not the Catholic Church itself that is a problem, it is the humans that run the whole shebang.  Was it Paul that wrote letters to his congregants complaining of the actions of the early Christians ?

All the sins of the flesh from incest to homosexuality, if I remember correctly it was he that stated he wished his people were more like him.  We did discuss a notion WAY back then that perhaps Paul had been castrated or was asexual.

As for Jesus himself, I have a conflict about his relationship with Mary Magdalene.    In the time of Jesus it seems impossible for a young woman to travel about with 12 men unless she was the wife of one of them.  It does seem some of the disciples were jealous of her relationship with Jesus,  She was a partner it seems in HIS life.

I was under the impression that the rite John THE Baptist started of baptism was the born again of what Jesus spoke.  Once baptised to remove original sin [what ever that could be] what is the purpose of being baptised again at a later date ?

I have tried to figure out the curcomcision of males

Almost done with this semester. Been busy since midterms, but it's all going well. I have a 96 final grade in my Bible Doctrine class which is my hardest class. I got a 100% on my midterm, 98% on my midterm paper.

I'm cruising in to Christmas break, and I can't wait.

After Christmas break, how many more semesters do you have left?

Funny story about that teacher too.

Yesterday, he was talking about letting the Holy Spirit guide you, when you drive just let the Holy Spirit take over, and drive you and control you,

I said softly to my friend "Jesus take the wheel.", and we both start trying not to laugh. I got yelled at for making my friend laugh. Everyone else thought it was funny.

Good work; better than I ever did in college, back in the Middle Ages.

When does the second semester start?  And what are your plans for inbetweentimes?

January 20, probably spend a week with my grandfather. I may work for a week or two at my mom's property depending if they need me for anything.

I'm doing pretty well in my classes so far except for maybe Greek.

I'm enjoying Sign Language. I have an easier time learning Sign Language. I think it's because it's in English, but also it's, obviously, visual. I can remember things I see better than reading. It's a practical class, obviously.

In speech class, yesterday, I was assigned for an impromptu speech about 5 minutes before class. My topic was "How to do nothing, when nothing is the motto."

My three points were

1. Sign up for Welfare

2. Collect EBT

3. Vote Democratic
