I don't see how Obama can side with the unions on this one.  I just saw a clip of Emanuel talking about the teachers making $76k and turning down a 16% raise over 4 years.  Also mentioned was the fact that the average worker in the area earns $47K/year.  

Obama siding with the teachers would be like taking sides with Wallstreet fatcats against the OWSers IMO.

Chicago Public Schools figures show teachers here have the highest average salary of any city in the nation.

I wonder how all the other school employees feel when unionized gangs of thugs go on strike.  Bus drivers, cafeteria employees (I guess 'lunch lady' is now PC), custodians, librarians.  What happens to them when the greedy teachers shut down the school because of their own selfishness?

Most of the DUmmies are saying that about Chicago.  Raise taxes to give the teachers what they want.  A few try to point out that Chicagoans already pay higher taxes.
