Steve Dawes sign discovered in Bellevue

I went to dinner at a friend's house in Papillion this evening, and on my way back home I decided to swing through Bellevue's 1st Ward to see how it looked on the ground the night before the election.  Most of the City Council signs were for Scott Houghtaling, but I did find one sign for Mr. Dawes:

It might be the only sign that Steve has. They maybe rotating it around the area. Word has it that the sign is trying to get unionized so it can just lay on its ass in the grass all day.

Campaign signs can't be on public property in most places - If those signs are on the sidewalk surrounding an apparently empty lot, there may be a problem. If not, then the owner of the vacant lot certainly approved of them, right ?

Since there seems to be so few of them, I don't think it would matter. If there were a bunch of campaign signs - a creative person with a printer and some sticker paper could have 'amended' a few of them.

Strictly speaking, yeah.

That's a well-known law in Nebraska.

But on the other hand, it's not a big problem, so usually one can "get by" without anybody getting upset.

True.  Sinclair was once ubiquitous in Nebraska, everywhere, but then evaporated some decades ago.

And then Conoco pulled out of Nebraska circa eight years ago, and pfft! there was Sinclair again.

I dunno why, but that's what happened.
