Going into the City Tomorrow
« on: April 28, 2012, 04:43:13 PM »
Going into the City Tomorrow.  ::)

Our son and the band The Glumloard are playing outside Gate 4 at the White Sox/Red Sox game beginning at 10:30 until about 12:00. He got us free tickets, but I'm not looking forward to sitting in the stands and freezing my tootsies off.

Wish me good luck in going into and exiting the hellhole called Chicago.

Oooof.  I do wish you luck.  Hope you have a great time, too.

I was in Billing, MT and had to go to the mall.  I think the eastern half of the state was there.  And that's still probably a smaller population than Chicago.  But, I could hardly stand the noise and smells.

I have a relative that lives in Butte. He loves it there.

I drove up to Waukegan a couple weeks ago.

And somehow survived, though I did miss a toll thingie. Had to go online and pay it, otherwise the bastards would've sworn out a warrant for my arrest.

Thanks, Rahm. You're the best.  :whatever:

We went to the game yesterday and sat with all the Glumlords band members and their guests - about 15 in all. It was cold, sometimes windy, cloudy, and it started to rain in the 8th inning, which is when we bailed out.

The Glumlords were very well received during their performance before the game. Of course, when they see us, they all yell,
"HI, KIRK'S MOM AND DAD!"

Our son is in the middle of the photo, playing rhythm guitar, but he alternates with the lead guitar and singer. More pics will probably be coming, if anyone's interested.

h5 for putting up with Chicago and the weather.

No points for visiting your son's band. That's expected.  :-)

Due to the weather, no one else in the band expected us!  :rotf:

I would love to see more pics, CG. A parent's support is important, no matter what the age....
