A few days ago I saw this newest picture of Kate and Will and Kate was wearing a broach of a Poppy for remembrance of their fallen veterans. We do the same in this country with cloth ones made by the [ American Legion?]
As this was a wonderful piece of jewelery and had cost her only $40.00 US money the broach stayed in my head for a few days. I Want ONE.
So, I began to dig out my old unused in some time, my Sculpting tools and Sculpey Oven bake clay.
I found some craft bar pins, super glue , paint and goodies and have as the design is oh so simple made up about a dozen of them so far, just to the after cooking stage.
Now the hard part, how to paint them, naturally they must be red, Kate's has a gold stem, but to make this spectacular I will have to experiment on them.
So far the ones I have baked and sealed remind me of two balls and a limp dick. I may have to make a few dozen more.
