The economy was shedding 750,000 jobs per month when Obama was sworn in. It has had 25 straight months of growth, averaging +200,000 over the past 6.

There are half as many troops in Iraq/Afghanistan than there were in January of 2009.

The Dow was at 6500 the day Obama's stimulus passed. It is over 13,000 now. Your 401k has doubled under Obama.

The U.S. auto industry was about to dissolve in the spring of 2009. It is healthier than it has been in decades now.

America was loathed throughout the rest of the world. It is respected now.

Osama was alive, and al Qaeda was reconstituting. He is dead and al Qaeda barely exists now.

Are we better off than we were 4 years ago???

HELL YES!

Talk about delusions. Where to start? 401-k's have doubled, really?  :banghead:
America is loved throughout the world now, really?
Al Queda barely exists now, really?

13. Oh, crap yes

I inherited my dad's stocks in 2006, saw them peak in 2007 and then crash in 2008. Four years later, I have not only what I inherited but an additional 20% on top of it.

So HELL yes, I'm better off. My friends are slowly starting to find jobs and the ones who own businesses are starting to see those businesses improve and are talking about being able to retire before they drop dead in harness.

The only way we're all worse off than before 2009 is in health insurance. Only about half of us are insured at work now, down >20% in the past 10 years. This is unacceptable and I hope we're able to give Obama a Congress that is willing to do something about it.

Funny that same scenario of inheriting stock was a major sin for Romney, you damn 1 percenter.

But then again, I didn't expect my President to change everything for me.

So in other words you knew hopen n change was bullshit.

20. No.

I've lost an average of $725 - $750 in monthly income over the past 4 years, my insurance premiums have doubled while benefits were drastically cut, and travel expenses have gone through the roof.

I am owed some serious beer and travel money.

But at least Bush isn't in the WH anymore, that's a huge plus.

Once again talk about voting against your own self interests.
The beer and travel money reference is funny though.  :lmao:

I do suspect that my particular skill set and industry has made out better than most during this horrible time.

I am much better off than I was four years ago - my whole family is. But I know that some aren't. I think we need to hold course.

Yeah the course we are on is so wonderful.  :whatever:

49. No.

Been unemployed since 2008, unable to pay student loans, quality of life has gone to shif. Still voting but just had to be honest

I would take a job at McDonalds before I would be unemployed for 4 years, then again that's one reason I'm not a DUmmy.

59. NO, but I blame George Bush, the Republicans, and some weak ass Democrats.

President Obama does deserve some of the blame, but certainly not most of it.

And to use the cruise ship again, I blame the captain before the one, who crashed the ship, for the crash.

Damn near every post in that thread says things are worse, yet they can't wait for 4 more years of the same.  :mental:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Don't forget about the $6,000,000,000,000.00 in new debt that Obama the dog eater saddled us with. That's about $20,000.00 for each citizen in four years.

And NO, I'm not better off nor are most people in the USA. Under Obama, the dog eater, more average household wealth has been lost than under any other president. I'd ask any college student how they feel about a 50% unemployment rate when they graduate and have the highest per capita student loan balances. Ask any senior citizen how they think it is working out with 00-1% returns on their CDs and no cost of living increases in the SS.

Socialism under Obama, the dog eater, has done what socialism always does, spread the misery out more evenly.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

So many answered "no."

Obviously their incessant calls for free energy, free healthcare, free education, free food, free housing etc isn't for their personal benefit but only out of the altruism of their souls for their fellow man.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Man does not live by dog alone but by 'possum, and 'coon, and cat, .....and ...and
....and those are the lucky ones that bought a gun during the great gun rush of 2011/12.

Yeah, that's silly, I know but when Obama has finished his job and the "BLUE" cities have rioted, looted and burned everything....well, it will make a great movie.

Hmmm, so what would they say about the 81% of Americans who say they are no better off than they were four years ago?

If a republican president was in office right now, they will be saying we are in a depression. But since Obama is in office, we are recovering wonderfully. I say bull shit.

Decades from now historians will look back at the Obama dog eater years with a collective wonder of how so many went so mad so fast.

No it hasn't!  My husband's 401k was doing amazing during Bush.  Once Obama came in, he lost $5,000!!!!!!!  Might not seem like a lot of money to some people, but it's a lot to us.  He has yet to recover even half of that money.

It liberal math in action. What they have done is computed the lowest point under Obama, and used that as the basis.

Example :

Let's say under Bush, a particular fund was on target to reach 20 points by today. During Obama's presidency, the fund fell to a low point of 5 points, and as of today, it has reached 10 points.

Therefore 'under Obama the fund has doubled' - Technically true, but only if one assumes history began with Obama. And many of the Obamaites would like you to believe that. Unless it's bad, then history began with Bush.

Do the DUmmies realize that.....

A. 1000 points on the Dow equals about $1 trillion dollars?

B. That Obama created more than $5 Trillion dollars in debt, assets that the banks could then use to expand their stock purchasing?

C. That with A and B being both logical, that over 5,000 points of this 7,000 point recovery is due to government profligacy that will either end or result in massive inflation, either way causing a massive contraction in the same stock market?

Do the DUmmies realize that....

A.  That Obama is still negative 1 million jobs on his watch?

B.  That creating 200,000 jobs per month is barely treading water when measured against the number entering the workforce every month?

C.  That previous recessions have had growth averaging 4.4% and added jobs at a rate of 400,000 a month?
