^ Possum on a half shell.  Never eaten it, but know people who have.  For me it was probably Scrambled Hog Brains and Eggs.  Tastes about like salmon and eggs.

Baby Shark Po Boy at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, 1979 ish - it was awesome!

Horse. jerky-style - it was kinda sweet - 1987ish

BBQed eel - several times between 1985 and now.

Alligator nuggets, fried - 2 weekends ago.  I believe I've seen it at the local grocery store.  The next time I do a seafood boil I think I'm going to put some alligator in it.

Frog legs and alligator. I've had gar fish, I don't recommend it.  I've had buffalo and ostrich.  I like buffalo, but ostrich I can pass on.  I love sushi so I've eaten eel, conch, octopus, etc.

I'll eat just about anything at least once.

Let see.
Bear-Very oily, but good. Had it in chili.
Shark-Tastes really good.
Frog Legs-Taste like chicken!
Sea Cucumber-Kinda like scallop

I am no surprised no one has eaten ptarmigans.

I think the only critters I've eaten that aren't already covered are :

Goanna - Badâ„¢. Never 'gain.
Crocodile : Great stuff, The farm ones have a detectable taste of chicken. Wild ones not so much. Think Alligator.
Emu : Think Ostrich.
Kangeroo : Not to my taste, but very lean and good for you.
Cat : Not something I care to repeat.

If you go to the Frestival again, try the fried soft shell crab. The best I have ever eaten and their food stand also sells fried catfish.

I had Elk for the first time Monday night.  Great stuff.  Maybe not so much "exotic", but in South GA it is rare.

Black and White Spotted Cow

 :rotf:

Alot of people hunt around here, so I have had all of the game, including some bbq coon. Not a big fan of game meat...deer summer sausage is ok, but they have to add alot of pork when they make it. Nothing like spitting out bb's when you are trying to eat rabbit. Goose is really greasy it seems.

The Arch over the interstate in Kearney, NE had an all you can eat buffet that featured buffalo entrées..that was good.

Here in the midwest great beef and pork is every where so I stick with that most of the time!

Wild duck/goose, I hunt.
Deer
Buffalo
Rattlesnake
Alligator
Peacock, tough as nails
and a VERY illegal one, More Goose. Possibly some of the best meat I've ever had. When I asked what it was, I was told, More Goose. I said "what?". "Ya", my friend said. "It's more goose than you want". Turns out it was Swan. About as illegal as you can get.  :uhsure:  :o

I had some Elk jerky a week or so ago...very good.

Living in the midwest I have tried just about anything that could be shot....not a big fan of game. Had some bbq racoon that was pretty good and wild turkey is yummy...
