ok i had updated the flash player.

then i googled around i found a beta that is suppose to work with FF10.0. it didnt help

i opened google chrome, vids work.
vids work in FF if they are from a site other than Youtube, like MRC.tv

so its a firefox/youtube issue.

im thinking about going back to an older version of firefox and stopping the updates. anyone have an opinion on the best version to go with?

I have no patience left for Firefox.  If it's not the constant crashes, it's slow, boggy, and eats up resources.

Hell, I'd rather use Internet Explorer.

That's how I felt, too. Afraid to do it and afraid to not do it. So I did it within the last month. They are not THAT much different, but I'm still learning. Just export your favorites to a file.

it was definitively FF related

I like the add ons for Firefox. I'm not real happy about its performance, though.  :(

There is another nice feature that Chrome has that I like.  If you have a GMail account, you can set up a synch .  If you you use different computers or have to do a reinstall of Windows, you can recover your favorites lists or share them between computers.

You have to add them to the tool bar. I had and continue to have some of those problems. That's why I recommended importing your favorites from FF.

If you like chrome uninstall FF. Chrome will work even better.  Also w/ chrome , the tool icon (upper right)will retain all of your bookmarks from FF.

I don't trust google enough to use their browser.

I was the same way, but I was getting really frustrated with the way FF seems so laggy.  I tried disabling my addons but it didn't help.  Uninstalled FF today and am giving Chrome a shot, I like the way it imported my saved passwords and bookmarks on install.  It's definitely going to take some time to get used to it.

im still using chrome
it almost feels like a seamless transition

only thing im still hung up on, im used to clicking on the tab bar to open a new tab. when i do it now it un-maximizes the window. now i have to go all the way over and aim for the plus sign.

It bugs me that there is no bookmarks button, or maybe I'm missing something.

On Chrome?

Under the little wrench icon , there is  "bookmarks".  You hover over it and it shows your bookmarks, but right at the top is the option to "a;ways show bookmarks".  Check that box, then a little tab will show up on the top right of your favorite bookmarks.

I notice that when I try to compose/reply to a message several of the buttons do not work in Chrome.  The insert image one is the one that I miss the most, anyone know the HTML code so that I can do it manually?

* NM, I fingered it out. :-)

new issue just started up

anyone else having problems loading certain websites?
i have a random website block thing going on. for the last 5 hours, some site wont load. the sites have been changing. for instance, at one time theblaze and youtube wouldnt load but this site and another would. then later on youtube would load but not this site. a couple of times a site would "half" load. (some text was there but the formatting was all jacked up)

sites randoming affected in the last 4 hours:
breitbart
blaze
here
youtube
yahoo (email)
star tribune (local newspaper)
a few others

i reset my internet modem, router, computer etc. my TV service never blanked out so i dont thinks its my provider.

anyone know what would make this happen?

Yep, some problems. With THIS SITE. It'll occasionally lock up or fail to load, but other sites do not, even at the same time.
