He hasn't done anything.....yet.
Anyway, I'm starting to think something else about this.
You know how even in heavily-lopsided areas, it's common for the minority party to put a candidate on the ballot just to show it's around. Such as Republican candidates listed on ballots in corrupt blue states and blue cities even though they don't have a chance of even coming close.
Just to show the minority party in that area is alive and kicking, although not very much.
Back in 2002, when Charles Hagel was running for re-election to the U.S. Senate, the Democrats in Nebraska couldn't get a credible Democrat to run against him, and so the Democrats got some homeless guy on the ballot as representing the Democrat party. And then in 2010, when David Heineman was running for re-election to the governorship, the Democrats couldn't get a credible Democrat to run against him, and ended up with some obscure guy who lied about a lot of things, and proved so embarrassing the Nebraska Democrats fired him as their nominee.
I'm wondering if Omaha Steve's running simply to have a Democrat on the ballot in that particular race, and for no other reason. Of course, knowing my fellow Nebraskan, he's not doing it out of the goodness of his heart, not doing it to take one for the team.
