Hello,

I'm a bit new to message boards, so please forgive me if I'm violating any etiquette by sort of busting in here.  I'm a conservative (supported Mike Huckabee, but will now reluctantly supporting McCain as the lesser of three evils), a retired engineer, living the semi-good life of this time in life, and just discovered this place.  It looks like there's a lot of interesting people here.

I'm still finding my way around the controls, as while I'm very familar with computers, the structures of message boards are still new to me.  So please bare with me.

Welcome.  Don't worry, CU was my first message board.  It wasn't long after that that I defected here.  It don't take long to pick up on the nuances.  Just remember, sarcasm can and will be lost on the board.

What's "CU"?  

The various controls here take a bit of work.  It took me a few minutes to understand what the various fields in the profile update screen meant.
