I was channel surfing through C-Span when they were showing this (actually rebroadcast on Chinese television).  You'd think by the wailing of the Nork announcer someone was giving her an on-air mastectomy with a chainsaw, without benefit of anesthetic.

I'm sure Jimmy Carter shed a tear or two himself, the senile old fart.

I caught just a minute of the funeral on the TV news. I noticed that the front 3 or 4 rows of the crowd was crying, fainting, collaspsing something awful but back in the crowd were people that had a "Well, one down and a few more to go" look on their faces.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Oh, he died at 69, as in that was his AGE. Nevermind. I was thinking something else.

I spotted that too. Most looked bored.

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

I have the feeling that if one were to drive this limo with the giant midget portrait on top down University Ave in Berkeley Commiefornia the wailing, weeping, gesticulating, convulsing and self immolation would indeed be genuine.

There would be an unwashed mass on parade with wafting pall of patchouli and pot smoke in tow like the Pied Piper everywhere it went.

I know DU raged that the nation morned over the loss of Ronald Reagan. They hated that he was beloved.

YET this is exactly the kind of state funeral Democrats would love to foist on us: compelled attendence, compelled morning, and deification of the elite. Obama is the kind of guy to put his face in a giant billboard like the one above...now I think about it, I would not need to be compelled to attend a liberal funeral like this, but I may get in trouble for the popcorn.

Carter looks to be next...anyone up for tailgating?

Carter 'pleased' with Egypt polls what an ass. He learned NOTHING from Iran.

If you bring a keg, and I bring a keg, we may just have enough beer on hand to render proper respects to the ol' boy.
