Conservatives believe that "equality" means equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome.

Conservatives believe in handing people a chance, not chancing on a hand out.

As a conservative I believe that we are indeed all created equal; however what happens afterwards is completely up to us.
Destroy all that which is evil, so that which is good may flourish

Women and children are precious resources to be protected at all costs.  Men are expendable commodities whose function is to protect those resources, at all costs.

So how does it feel to know that someone's kid in the heart of america has blood on their hands to defend your rights so you can maintain a lifestyle that insults his family's existence?

Conservatism is supporting Ron Paul. Just ask certain Admins at a certain board.  :evillaugh:
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Conservatism is: love, compassion, understand, and justices. Kittens and puppies and grand kids.

Conservatism to me is protecting what we, as a country, hold dear. Opportunities exist. Whether or not you get off your lazy ass to take advantage of them is up to you. I also believe this is the greatest country on Earth. I'd like to conserve that, not be a f'n liberal and see it changed in a fashion seen in Europe. I thought we escaped that shit before.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

Quote
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

what I meant to say exactly was that conservatives prefer individual liberty to equality enforced by government, especially the central government.  even if the individual makes poor use of his natural liberty.

The belief that I know better than some bureaucracy what is most important for me and my family.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
