A British tourist was feared dead today in Morocco after a suicide bomber blew himself up inside a popular tourist cafe, killing 14 and injuring up to 80 others.

The blast happened just before midday at the Argana Cafe in Marrakech's 's busy Jamaa Lafna Square.

Eleven foreigners and three Moroccan people are believed to be among the dead.

A Downing Street spokesman confirmed a consular team have been dispatched following reports of a Briton being among the victims.

A tragedy for all involved and worrying stuff for Morocco it is very dependent on tourism. This will really affect the industry.
