CU under new Mgt.!!!

Evening everyone!

Just wanted to drop a post that ConservativeUnderground.com is now owned and being run by SaintLouieWoman and myself.

Crusty, CU's original owner, just doesn't have the time anymore to run CU so we are picking up where he left off.

He's done a Greyt job over the years and is to be commended! Well Done.

Hmm .. interesting. I just registered, then clicked on the email link to confirm, and when I clicked to go to the home page it says:

I tried to dust off my very much unused account there and it doesn't seem to have sent out the "change password mail" - Yes - I have checked my spam folder on the email account I used.

No, it means that we were being overrun by spammers and that some good people might have been accidentally nuked. If it happens, please just send a pm to SR or me here and we'll be sure it goes through.

Janice, please just pm with the name that you are using and we'll make sure that you don't get the ban message. I'm really sorry, it wasn't anything deliberate, just a result of procedures that were taken to get around a deluge of spammers.

How is it on stability now?  Last time I tried to check in, I found I had pretty much been purged by yet another board failure ('Way before you took over, SR, no slight intended). 

I didn't bother to re-register then due to the poor track record on site stability, well, plus an infestation of A-holes.  I'm pretty well settled in here now, and have never had problems with the CC site software (Since the first month of Shoutbox FUBARness), but I might re-register and drop in once in a while if I could be sure I wouldn't have to re-register each time.

Sorry bud but I'm betting I accidently deleted you. CU has been getting tons of spammers and I have the Forum set to drop everyone new into a que so I can weed out the spammers. I looked for your acct and it is gone so I'm sure I zapped it by mistake. If you wouldn't mind doing it again I'll make sure it goes thru.

The site is stable and we haven't had any problems in years now. I did reboot the server a few days ago around 11am so if anyone tried to join during that time they would have gotten a message that the site was down, but that was only for around 10 minutes.

If anyone has a joining issue let me know: webmaster@conservativeunderground.com  :p

I remember CU would have crashes that would erase everything. I remember it happening in 2005 and 2008 and that is 3 years. How come Gator was banned?
