Just kidding, I'm really not THAT mean and selfish, but I just had to express how disgusted I am with these people. Billions on blowing up foreigners and welfare for the wealthy in the form of tax cuts? No problem! Billions actually HELPING people? Hell no, only commies do that!

If I came upon a wreck on fire and the person inside happened to be Glorious Comrade Leader himself I still would not hesitate to move heaven and earth with all I had to save life and limb. As much as I despise and detest everything he stands for he is a fellow human being. I know in my heart that every last person on this site would do the same and that is one of the most glaring differences between conservatives and liberals.
I really do believe that an alarming number of liberals would stand back and let a person perish if they knew that person in jeopardy disagreed with their political views. They are truly vile and despicable people.

I guess this asshat has never so much has had a first degree burn, huh? I have a buddy that when he was a kid, was playin' with matches around a 55 gallon drum full of gasoline. he tossed a match into the little hole, and the thing didn't explode, so he got close to take a look. It never did explode, but started spewin' flame and liquid like a rocket at Cape Canaveral!

He had on a down coat and it got soaked with this firey blend and damn near killed him before they could get it off. The scars it left are nothing I would recommend any of your children see unless you want to educate them on the perils of playin' with matches!

He went thru nearly a hundred skin grafts where they took the skin from his legs and buttocks and grafted it to his chest and back! How anyone could even suggest you would leave a fellow human being in such a dire circumstance tells me all I need to know about primitives!

It wouldn't matter because a primitive would not help regardless. Pulling someone from a burning car is a selfless act that takes courage. Something they lack as it takes a special kind of person to run towards the danger rather than pissing themselves on the sidelines.

If I see someone in a burning car, I'd do something about it.

First, I'd call my congressman and demand onboard Halon fire extinguishing systems on all vehicles.

Then I'd demand higher taxes on The Rich to pay higher wages for first responders.

If they refused, I'd go online and ask if anyone could stage a sit-in at the Capitol.

Then I'd get it to Keith and Rachel.

Then, if no luck, I'd call for a general strike.

At some point I'd call my congressman back and curse out the receptionist.

Then I'd log in at DU and report all the great things I'd done.

And predict we're on the verge of a revolution.

Then I'd post a snarky comment or two and some smilies on the latest "Sarah Isn't Trig's Real Mom" thread.

If it was socialism the government would require all the DUmmies standing around to get inside the car so they could share the pain. Of course, minorities would be exempt. If, however, it was a minority burning in the car you'd have to double the amount of WASPs that burn with him.

- For this example to make sense, said "foreigners" would be those forcing Americans into a burning car, blowing up buildings, or chopping American's heads off, whichever is easiest at the time I suppose.  And yes, billions for that.

- It's called "letting them keep more of the money they make on their own".  To do things like (yes, in addition to spending on themselves heaven forbid), build hospitals to treat people who you let burn in a car because of their beliefs.  Welfare is when you take someone's money forcibly and give it to someone who didn't work for it.

- :banghead:  Some people obviously need help sometimes.  But how about we put thought into helping people help themselves instead of throwing perfectly good money into a black hole?  The people that don't want to help themselves and don't go out and get a job?  2 Thessalonians 3:10.  (and by the way, statistically conservatives give more to charity that libs)

Nice sentiment though, letting people burn alive.
