« on: January 06, 2011, 04:04:10 PM »
The benefits of the fair tax would stimulate economic growth and save us money.

-$10,000 more for the typical worker
- $340 billion in savings
- simplified tax code
- everyone pays taxes
- more economic capital in the U.S.
- no more income tax
- fewer taxes on business
- no more IRS

Instead of the fair tax or a flat tax, we'll end up eventually with the VAT and still have an unfair income tax system.

We need to reduce taxes to promote economic growth. Any tax cuts that help families make ends meet, help reduce the cost of living, and are good for businesses to grow, invest, and hire are good tax cuts. The fair tax is ideal, but I know it likely will never happen. We do need to cut spending, reduce taxes, and shut down the IRS and simplify our tax code.
