Pelosi admits Obamacare was about control

Pelosi: Even if everyone in America had great health care, we'd still have passed Obamacare

Since it's her last day as Speaker, Nancy Pelosi is busy trying to emphasize to the country that no, she really has been detached from reality these last four years. Here she mounts a vigorous defense of Obamacare, actually going so far as to say that they would have had to pass the bill to save money -- even if everyone in the country was perfectly happy with their health insurance. Why? Because it saves so much money!

That's assuming you discount all the gimmicks employed to manipulate how the Congressional Budget Office scored the bill, forget that it frontloads the tax increases and delays the spending, pray that Congress has the guts to follow through with the bill's massive cuts in Medicare spending, and pretend that it won't cost a lot more than advertised because, well, every massive new government program ends up costing more than the figures they projected to pass it. Anyway, just watch the following video with a smile on your face, content in the knowledge that after tomorrow she's no longer third in line for the Presidency of the United States.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
