Twenty-seven House races still not called.  It seems the majority of them have likely (R) winners.

I'm thinking this is going to end up #3 on that list.

OMG (knock on wood) it looks like OR's going to have a Republican governor! What a concept!

Lincoln Davis is out and we have a new Republican governor... that's two less Democrats in Tennessee.

gene taylor has lost in MS-4.  that's a flip.  the blue dogs are getting slaughtered in droves.

on edit : taylor has been in congress for more than 20 years.

Now THAT'S a message.  I wouldn't have believed I would see that.

Listening to the news this morning, I think the number is down to 11 or 12.

My local News/Talk favorite McKenna was majorly excited yesterday. I can't WAIT for the program today. It should be excellent.

I have to tell you guys; I'm just ecstatic right now. There were some races where I slapped my head in dismay, for for the most part, REAL CHANGE has come back to America. However, they better be in service to us instead of to their pockets. Otherwise, I think they know what will happen. I think they will serve us well though.

You know, some votes aren't even done tallying.  For example, Ruth McClung vs. the execrable Raul Grijalva in Arizona.  Latest news says nobody's claiming victory.

that restores a very small part of my faith in the electorate.    "I don't care about the constitution" should have been as politically suicidal as "I have sex with my dog.  my male dog."

That would get the furry vote, though.

The AP is calling Quinn the winner in the Illinois governor's race, but Brady isn't conceding yet.  There are still uncounted absentee ballots.

rossi conceded.  assuming all those write-ins in alaska are for pricess lisa, we really need her to caucus with the republicans.  not stripping her of her committee leadership suddenly seems like a much better idea than when they did it.  she would be hella pissed right now if they had done that.

I think that she ultimately will, but she was being waaaay to cute about it when she was interviewed on greta's show just before the election.

but, umm, she also said that she would support the winner of the primary, and that didn't happen.

One guy I served with - a bassoon player no less - is the most ardent, shrill, asinine, misinformed, and ridiculous lib I think I've ever run across. A great guy by all accounts - but he's drunk so much of the WA Kool-Aid (he lives in Olympia) his eyes are permanently glazed over.

I'm convinced it's in the water.  :p
