Joe Miller is unfit to lead
« on: October 27, 2010, 05:45:49 PM »
So said Linda "Daddy's l'il girl" Murkowski.

Reihlworld has images of Miller's OER (Officer Evaluation Report).

the MSM has started a whispering campaign about an "historic" write-in victory for murkowski.   they cite various polls that have murkowski and miller tied.  there is even a highly suspect poll out today that has miller trailing both murkowski and mcadams 34-29-23.  I'm not buying it.  first of all, the outfit that conducted that poll hasn't been right EVER.  but most importantly, alaska is an impossible place to poll.  we learned that iin the primary, and in 2008.  it's almost pointless;  it's probably smarter to just wait until election day.

murkoski has a lifetime ACU rating of 83%, by the way.  not stellar, by any means.  miller is the infinitely preferable candidate.  but murkoski beating miller, as long as mcadams (who is just a buffoon of a candidate) doesn't sneak in, is much better (assuming that she caucuses with the republicans) than, say, feingold getting reelected, or angle losing to that slobbering old degenerate harry reid.

That 83% makes her look much more conservative than she really is. I don't see her winning this as a write-in.

Yeah, Princess Lisa can't be that popular, else Joe Miller could've never beat her ass in the primary. All the MSM were on her side, and they still are and she still lost, now they're trying to claim she's tied??? They'd love to see her win in Sarah Palin's home state out of spite.

Personally, I don't like the way LM has conducted herself throughout the whole thing, she's coming off as a self-entitled spoiled little bitch. That poll is garbage.

Unfortunately , the AK Supreme Court has ruled that Write-in candidates names can be listed and posted in the polling places.  Spelling won't count either, as long as voter intent is determinable.  It seems like everything is going Murcowski's way.

indeed.  one year she was in the high 60's.  I meant to mention that in my reply, but had a brain cramp (or sumpin').

the alaskans have a hell of a sense of humor.  there are over 20 write-in candidates for senator.  Princess Lisa has an even tougher road ahead of her than I thought.

I caught the news this morning... the Alaska Supreme Court is not going to permit a list of write-in candidates to be posted at polling places.  The 'pro' side of the issue was being pushed by the Murkowski campaign and the Democratic Party of Alaska.  I'm just curious to see what, if any, result the decision might have on Tuesday.

and that is why, as you clearly stated above, that Princess Lisa wants a list of candidates to be available.

For a good preview of how politics, rather than law, may drive decisions in the Obama Justice Department next year when redistricting gets underway, go north, young man, and cast your eye on the Senate race in Alaska. The latest shenanigans by Alaskan election officials and the Voting Section of Justice’s Civil Rights Division show a dangerous willingness to bend regulations in furtherance of political objectives.

Had the Section done even a basic investigation, it would have realized that the Election Division was violating its own regulations. That should have prompted an intensive investigation of the intent behind this regulatory violation, something that would be material to whether there was discriminatory intent. None of this happened.

Late Saturday evening, another lawsuit was filed in the federal district court in Anchorage in the Miller–Murkowski Senate battle. This lawsuit is by five individual voters, including a Native Alaskan, asking for an injunction against the write-in candidate list that the Alaska Supreme Court authorized for use on Friday. The claim for an injunction is made under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act because the modified write-in list has not been cleared by the U.S. Justice Department and therefore cannot be implemented.
It's a long article... go take a look.
