The Barock-star was in my town today!
« on: January 10, 2008, 03:45:03 PM »
odd that the senator from massachusetts would endorse the senator from illinois
for president in Charleston, SC, but that's what happened.

traffic was backed up all the way to the interstate.  the baracksters and the obamese
almost definitely landed in the next state before I got back to work from lunch.

and there were all these shiny little kids from porter-gaud (a private school here in
Charleston where upper class kids go to school so they don't have to go to the shitty
public schools) walking back from the rally wearing their blue golf shirts emblazoned with
the school crest and carrying their obama signs.  I instantly suspected that all of those rich
(mostly white) kids would make an excellent backdrop for the nightly news this evening.
I'm not sure I am right, but it looks like I may be:

Apparently, mccain is in town today, too.

Lurch is going to eat his ears!!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
