It wasn't a religious war when George Bush was President
« on: September 11, 2010, 02:16:01 AM »
It wasn't a religious war when George Bush was President, but it certainly appears to be one now. Nobody was burning Korans during the Bush years. No one was trying to build a mosque at ground zero. Say what you will about GWB and his policies, but religious tensions were lower.

Perhaps President Obama's "WE SUCK!" brand of patriotism, and the "We bend over for Islam" bumper sticker on the presidential limousine has something to do with it.

Or perhaps other countries just respected us more in 2007. The desire to be... "liked" is a ridiculous and incredibly naive foreign policy. It inevitably leads to precisely what it was intended to avoid; confrontation.

I do as well but the usual news outlets won't say that they prefer to point out all of his faults

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it, misdiagnosing it and then misapplying the wrong remedies.
