How will the poor native Americans make money on the small plots of land they have left if their casinos suddenly went dark (and then what would my inlaws do on Friday nights)?
How would we cram all those city folk here in the country so they can get back to this idyllic country life?
Won't they have to displace the spotted owl to have enough space for everyone out here?
And how will they keep the rivers from becoming more polluted and stressed as more people live nearby and need to use them? How will the endangered sucker fish that eats the endangered salmon's eggs survive?
How will small, bruised organic fruit and vegetables that simply can't grow in certain parts of the country get to the overpriced, smelly mom and pop organic market?
How will they press tofu into those nice little cakes in those hermetically sealed cartons?
What will happen to tofurkey growers?
How will we support those poor undocumented workers and their families without large farms, construction companies and Home Depot parking lots?
Where will rappers and wannabes get their bling?
What happens when you're really, really stoned and you forget you have brownies in the oven (being heated by sticks and twigs, I guess) and the grass hut catches on fire?
Who will answer the phones when you dial 911 (or will we just send out smoke signals because phones will no longer be manufactured)? Will the firemen have to come with horses, dalmations and buckets again? And will they get there in time to help with the rebuilding because we'll need the water in those buckets to make the mud to hold the grass together.
What happens during the years when the crops fail and you can't just run in to Safeway and buy the fermented soy to make tempeh burgers for your annual harvest party?
If we're all moving to the country and living off the land how will we all have a big enough plot of land to feed the sheep, fiber goats, and rabbits to make your clothes?
How will the world's lesbians feed their cats? Will they have to resort to killing their own chickens since canned and packaged organic, human-grade cat food will no longer be manufactured?
See, DUmmie, you're only thinking about how this will affect you're fantasy life! You imagine every day full of sunshine where you can look outside your kitchen window and see peas and tomatoes growing with no droughts, or years where rain prevents you from planting in time to get enough food harvested to store for winter. Or years where rains rot most of the crops. How will you store food for the winter? You won't have a freezer any more because you won't have electricity. Stupid, stupid DUmmie.
