I voted Maybe -

DU is, after all, a message board (mostly) full of anonymous participants. I suspect there are some who are just misguided, and others that are harmless in real life. And then there are the moles, which is another issue altogether.

I can respect differences of opinion - as long as they are rational, and thoughful. Sadly, those primitives tend to be targeted for execution by their brethren.

I echo those who like Paulsby. He seems to think decently at least some of the time.  AdBot is the only critical thinker over there though.

I voted 'maybe'.  Every once in a great while, one of them will post something funny.  And they're always attacking each other which is entertaining.  I like that.  But respect?

I voted "no."  If they are on Skin's Island by choice and haven't been tombstoned then they are on Skin's Island by choice and fit in to some degree.  Present moles excluded, of course.  In that case, I respect the individual behind the mole but not the mole itself.

I'm shocked that nearly half the votes were "yes" or "maybe". I hope this site's technology, like that of the DUmp, allows sniffing out moles from poll votes, because there are clearly many of them here.
