It'll cost 3 times more than this and require massive annual subsidies.

Oh, come on, think of how much they've spent on "viability studies" of a high-speed rail system between LA and Vegas, and they'll likely never turn one shovel of dirt on that crap, because if they did, they'd be looking at over $20-30 billion on that POS.
