The "unfinished" novel, due to the ill health of the author.

I downloaded this in HTML format, it is available in several formats including PDF and for ebooks.

..................

At the beginning of the story I had a couple of "why am I still reading?" moments. When the heroine of the story is using anti-white language, when she herself is white I believe, was a bit off-putting. But I kept reading and this stopped pretty soon. I guess the writer had an idea and didn't go with it. After a little while the story began to pick up and show promise. The time travel elements are actually pretty well done and the description of life as a slave in ancient Rome is well done. Turns out the "bad guys" are hispanic and have taken over a top secret research facility in Alaska. I actually ended up liking this book, but of course every chapter ends with a cliffhanger, even the last one. It was planned as a 2-book project but the writer, Linda Evans, came down with a major illness, leaving her unable to write for 3 years and now has a commitment to another project.
