Another FNG from Texas.
« on: January 08, 2008, 12:26:32 PM »
Howdy, Ya'll!

A friend of mine (Jackzip) said I should drop in and say Hi.  I see some faces here that I know from the Airborne board.  I look forward to participating in the discussions.  That is if Rebel and Jackzip don't ban me for being too conservative.

You APO types know me as Zimmy.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Welcome.  You need a shorter screen name.

What part of Texas are you from?  I am in the DFW area.

Damn, we're getting too many Texans in here.  :-)
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

Quote
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Texans rock. I used to have a bumper sticker that said: "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could."

Then again they did give us Ron Paul........ :uhsure:

I looked it up, it isn't too far from Dallas.  Hey the end of January another member of this board is coming down to see me.  We are trying to get some other people from the boards to come out and meet up.  You are invited too if you want to.  Although if I don't like you by the end of the month, you will be disinvited.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone.

We can try to get together.  The only thing is this:  I have a very demanding job.  My days off vary from 0 to 4 days off a month.  I'm not antisocial. :lmao: Well, maybe a little.  But not to like minded people as much :-).
