I Miss George W Bush
« on: June 28, 2009, 01:25:14 AM »
Things were so different when this Obama charachter came into the picture. It's too bad that presidents are limited to 2 terms, because we could have used another 4 years of Bush. He was a fine commander in chief, who really gained my respect. He stood his ground in the face of opposition from "common sense". He didn't care what the "facts" were, he stuck to his guns. And isn't that what being an American is all about? He was more than a president to me, he was a hero among heros. So what if he tarnished our world reputation, put the US trillions of dollars in debt, and crippled our economy? His achievements are nothing compared to his faults, and I respect that. He was a fantastic president, and I would vote for him again if I could.

To George W Bush, I salute you, and everything you've done for this fine country. God bless America!

I guess this is the part where I'm supposed to get out of my trailer, put on my beer stained wifebeater, my Nascar hat Rev the engine of my Hummer and whoop-n-holler in agreement, right ?

Listen.. If you want to come to CC and post from a liberal POV, thats fine, you don't have to troll about to do it. Unlike the legends spun at DU and other places, we aren't quite as knuckle-draggin' stupid as you seem to think. So, don't be a troll, 'mmmmmkay ?

Oh, and the Abe Lincoln thing ? --- Cute.  :whatever:

"I Miss George W Bush" .....I do too.

Even a bumbling idiot beats the hell outta a dysfunctional teleprompter.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I miss President Bush because..

North Korea wasn`t threatening to nuke Hawaii.

For the sake of feel good pseudo science we were not looking to add a hundred or likely more to everyones untility bills.

We didn`t have a president that bowed to a Saudi king.

The list can go on and on.
Respect doesn`t always mean that you are happy with or you like something.
That is what grovelling and weakness gets you.
Sort of like driving a car only looking past the hood....you have to constantly be changing course as things you don`t see suddenly come into view.
I couldn`t respect that kind of driver as they are a danger to everyone else

That is liberalism in a nutshell, everything for the moment with no forsight.

With Pres. Bush, we didn't quadruple the deficit in the first year.

We didn't make France look tougher than the US

We didn't have to "look forward" to the kind of healthcare that kills Britains, and we wouldn't be warning Canada that they can't send their people here anymore because we won't be able to afford the extra beds we've kept for them.

With Pres. Bush, we had a leader that could speak 99 out of 100 words without a teleprompter...instead of 1 out of 100.

With President Bush we didn't have Iranian thugs beating peaceful protesters and shooting them in the streets.
