Photography: Crazy shoot I did this weekend.
« on: June 14, 2009, 01:08:39 AM »
So I decided to get away from my typical subject matter and do something really edgy.  I found a willing model, made some fake blood, grabbed a pistol, I even told her to smoke in my house (I never do that!)... and the end result:

What do ya think?

Very, uh... interesting.

I like it.

Very thought provoking... I think that must be the sign of good art. You've really found your niche, I'm very impressed FA.

Hehe, thanks.  The one super model I would love to shoot is Adriana Lima.  I could only dream about being a high fashion photographer... but it's fun to pretend.  :)

The fact that you invoke the mood a designer would want means an awful lot. I'm speaking as someone who once had aspirations to design next to the poofsters :-) I love this picture! Really...it's awesome!

Yeah, that's edgy all right. The gooped-on eye makeup (mascara?), the splashed blood, the dangling ash on the cigarette, and especially, the fact it looks like she's sititng on the shitter!  :rotf:

Naw, in all seriousness FA, I think you got your point across. Edgy, indeed.   :II:

The story is that there is no story.  I wanted to create an image that left the viewer to decide what they think happened.  :)

Two questions is the gun loaded with the hammer back like that ?
And is she sitting on the toilette high as a kite ?

I've had weekends that looked like that....................................
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

The gun *looks* loaded, but it's empty.  The idea is that it has recently been fired.

I didn't intend for it to look at though she's on the toilet, although I do have a new one in the garage for a new bathroom I'm building in my basement.  I should have broke it out.  :)
