A huge favor... review this thing
« on: May 16, 2009, 11:08:39 AM »
I am thinking of going back to school and getting a certificate so I can get a better job.  I have built the following website as a sort of early homework thing before I get started.   i would appreciate corrections, advice, pageviews even.

It is a sort of description of what intelligent web design should be, even though it isn't.  BTW, some help on the CSS stuff would be helpful.  I am using div floats, and what works on firefox fails in explorer.  I want to do column divs in several of the pages, and I was wondering if I should just stick a shim between the columns and be done with it.

Anyway, the site... My homework for CIS

Looks like a good start!

Here are some examples of what "styles" you can create:

http://www.bbhc.com/  and then their forum section: (my wife mods the boards) http://bbhc.com/forum/

BBHC is pretty good BUT look at Janis's forum section compared to BBHC's:

I hope this gives you some ideas.   :cheersmate:

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

I made one change that made a huge positive.  It even works in IE, which is nice
