New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi questions soon-to-be-released book on Alex Rodriguez

NEW YORK -- Don't expect New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi to be standing in line at the bookstore waiting for the release of an unflattering biography of Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez. Girardi on Sunday voiced his objections to the Selena Roberts book -- titled "A-Rod: The Many Lives of Alex Rodriguez" -- which is due to hit shelves Monday.

Girardi also said he hasn't been contacted by Major League Baseball, which according to a report in The New York Times, is investigating whether Rodriguez used performance-enhancing drugs for longer periods than he has admitted.

"I'm sure if there was a problem before, we would have been contacted, that's my thought," Girardi said. "We are going to move on from this. People can talk about it but we're going to move on.".....
