Professional backgammon

Does anyone here play backgammon professionally?

I have played on line, and I think I am pretty good. So, I was maybe, hoping to make some money doing so. Does anyone here have suggestions on how to get started with this? I am not risk averse, but I did not want to lose the family farm, either.

Play Texas Holdem, a real game.

I'd suggest finding some players local to you and testing out your skills. I play a little with friends (not for money though) and from my limited experience even non betting players can be scarily good so get some free experience in real life before taking the next step.
