DENVER (AP) — The Colorado National Guard has delivered two truckloads of cots, blankets and food to hundreds of travelers snowbound by a storm that dropped more than 3 feet of snow on the foothills west of Denver.Most of Interstate 70 between Vail and Golden remained closed Saturday morning but officials were opening sections of the highway east of Idaho Springs.More than 500 people spent the night at three shelters after being stranded by the closure of an 80-mile stretch of I-70 in the Colorado mountains, said Red Cross spokesman Jim Rettew.He said the shelters would be kept open as long as needed.The National Weather Service said the foothills west of Denver had the heaviest snowfall, with 43 inches at Pinecliffe.
