Quote
Mr. Obama spoke just after noon to a sea of cheering people, appearing to number well over a million, who packed the National Mall from the Capitol to the Washington Monument and beyond.

Went from 1,000,000+ to 500,000 in a single page. A news paper lying to bolster Obama.....why.....who would have thought such a thing! :evillaugh:

It's like the miracle of the loaves and fishes, they only let 300,000 in but there were 5 million there.  It's an Obama thang.

What's the bigger miracle is how the press can shrink the crowd. I was at the McCain/Palin rally in STL right after his choice of VP was announced. That crowd shrunk by 75% in the reporting by our local lib rag.

1.4 million is still a lot. Anyways, they live a pipe dream.

Probably the turnout for the last 3 or 4 POTUS inaugurations.

We need numbers of the previous events to have a basis for comparison.

I think even 2 million is too much. DC can't handle 2 million people at once. If there was really 4 million, DC would be really crowded and it would be a mess. Yeah, it would help to see previous events.
