What Are You Doing on Inaguration Day?
« on: January 17, 2009, 06:28:41 PM »
What Are You Doing on Inaguration Day? I am not watching it. I would watch it if there was snow falling. Too much of a coronation. The media always talks about Obama. C’mon, Obama is not the first Black President. We had six of them already.

I'm going to watch it up until 0bama takes the oath of office.

And then I'm going to duck into the basement, to avoid being smashed by all the goodies, all the milk and honey, all the strawberries and cream, all the money, all the free housing, all the free medical care, all the free gasoline, pouring down from the skies.

And then after all that's over, I'm headed to town to the post office, to see if the deed to Pedro Picasso's second house has arrived here yet.  The 0bamaites and the 0bamaite primitives promised us 0bama would "equalize" things, and it's unfair that Pedro Picasso owns two houses, and franksolich owns zero; this would even it out.

If none of this happens, as promised by the 0bamaites and the 0bamaite primitives, franksolich is going to be pretty pissed, no more Mr. Nice Guy.

I will be attending class and going to work.  I will not turn my tv on, because I cannot, and will not respect the person being sworn in.   I respect the office, but not the filth that will be occupying it for the next 4 years.

I will not be watching it. Although my employer is doing their best to make sure it's crammed down my throat no matter where I am. The coverage will be aired on all campus televisions. Thankfully, my desk is not close to one of these said sets, so I intend to keep my head down, and ignore all of the bleeding heart socialists around me for a day.

It will probably be over by the time I get to work.  I'll get to watch the aftermath on that pathetic excuse for a TV channel, CNN Headline News.

I won't be watching the aftermath either. I decided I might go see a movie or something. If I have to get out of the apartment to avoid the coverage, I will.

I refuse to be subjected to the Obama worship. Thankfully, the government hasn't mandated my television watching habits yet.

You mean "Black Monday".

I thought it was on Tuesday.  :-)

I have a 3" tv at work that I use when something big happens.  I'll check the internet news perodically, and if there's an "incident", I'll turn it on.  Otherwise I will be busy trying to keep my job thankyouverymuch.

I'll be silently cussing at every idiot that voted for the socialist POS.

I'll be at work.  No TV, and no regrets that I'll miss an inauguration.  I've never watched any of the others, either.

Same here. Had a "discussion" with another volunteer at the zoo today. She was saying how she's always hated Bush. I told her that while I didn't agree with everything he's done, I feel he's an honest man.

She started talking about all the bright people Obama has appointed. I mentioned the head of Treasury. She said it was just a "mistake". I countered that most people would be in BIG trouble if they dodged taxes like that. She said again it was nothing.

Then I commented that O comes from an area with really dirty poltics and at least Bush wasn't a Blago.

Then we started talking about zoo stuff again.

I won't be watching the inauguration. Couldn't stomach it.

I will be working.  I will be very thankful I have a job.

It will be a rough four years.   This guy is going to make Carter look very very good.

Thankfully I am gainfully employed... I feel really sorry for all those who lost their jobs with the recession the last month. They are going to have a bitch of a time finding work once teh Big Zero and the Dimocrap congress is in charge of the purse strings.

Going to the gun range.  Gotta make sure all the girls are dialed in after the move to Colorado.  Of course, these plans are subject to change if the movers make it here in which case I'll be directing the unloading festivities at my house.

At work.  For now.  Otherwise we'd ALL be in the dark, not just the morons who voted for Zerobama.

Gonna be at work.  One of the office 'bats will be at the Inauguration.  One of them won't be.  Every time the Obamessiah fails on one of his promises in the next four years, I'll be there to let the second 'bat (the more annoying one) know about it.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Working, running around, doing what I do every day.

I have a friend who lives in MD.  She left specifically to get out of the cluster that is now that whole area.  Smart woman.

I have absolutely no interest in seeing the hollywood production that is quite glutinous and filled with the self-primping of putting America out as the most fabulous country in the world because we voted in some man who is from the most corrupt state in the country along with absolutely no experience for the job at hand - not to mention his ties to all those that would like nothing more than to see America and that it stands for fail.

no interest at all.  I think I'll have an Underworld marathon to get ready for the release of the third movie this Friday.
Tact is for people who aren't witty enough to be sarcastic.

Sometimes I aim to please, but mostly I just shoot to kill.
