Matthews: My 'Job' to help Obama presidency -- 11.6.08
« on: November 06, 2008, 12:04:33 PM »
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

make Barry a success

I saw that when it happened.  it was mortifying.  nothing the guy ever says about the obama administration will ever have any credibility again;  he is on the record as seeing it as his job to make obama a success.

Wretch, IMHO, he lost any credibility he had with his "tingly feelings" comment.

Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Here's hoping his efforts in the Obama administration leads to the same successes he enjoyed in the Carter administration.

So, his old job was to make Bush's as unsuccessful as possible? Is that correct?

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

What's new about Chris Matthews being the Democrat Party's bitch?

Nothing new about that.  Now he can just abandon all pretense of faking it.

Isn't Chris Matthews going to run for the senate in 2010?

Chris Matthews reminds me of a troll-like little man who will stalk Obama and just wait for one utterance, one glance, one nod of approval from President Obama.

Uggggghhhhh - Chris Matthews is an idiot.

Dup of a thread from this morning in GD.  I kept Miskie's title, and merged them into the elections forum.

I'm curious as to what evidence Chris 'Tingle up my leg' Matthews has that he'd be any more competent at his "new" job than he has been at his old job?

it's disgusting that he attempted to cloak his bias beneath some tortured sense of patriotism;  that it's his job to make this president successful because "right now this country needs a successful presidency".

the country always needs a successful presidency, phuckstik. :bird:

I used to watch Matthews every night during the Clinton Administration -- he turned on Clinton, and would shout down anyone who came on the show to defend him.   It was delicious.

Chrissy is a crybaby.   He will turn on the Messiah at the first perceived slight.    Then we will all kick back and tune in to watch his meltdown.

History loves to repeat itself where democrats are involved.
