I'm with you. Why must we all start respecting the office holder now, when for 8 years we've heard the most scurrilous lies about George Bush? I disagree with a lot of what George Bush has done, and the direction he's gone more and more, but I never had much doubt of his personal integrity, just his principles on some things. I have every doubt of Hussein's integrity, and all his unity rhetoric didn't begin until he was running for national office. For twenty years before that, his every action and alliance showed something different. It would be stupid to wink at his record of decades, and pin hopes on empty words he spoke to gain votes. Wait until he starts pushing reparations "taxes" by another name.

I didn't look at it as a big deal, concerning the turnout was hugely overestemated.  But thats ok, 4 years of left will bring 8 years of peace afterwards.  Bobby Jindal is our hope.

I just saw, on Redstate.com (I think), the name of one "Newt Gingrich" being suggested.

Though, I wouldn't necessarily count out Sarah Palin.

The issue is problematic for me.

I can't help but feel as though I'd be lowering myself by reciprocating unto Obama the left's nastiness directed at Bush.

However, at the same time, by not expressing my outright disgust at the utter moral bankruptcy of Obama's political philosophy I fear that I might be contributing in some small part to a great lie that certain interests will no doubt try to pull over on future generations - that Obama was wonderful and nobody but a few ignorant bigots disagreed with him about anything.

(If you think this isn't a valid concern, just look at how beloved BJ Clinton is, not even eight years after his presidency, by those who don't follow and don't care about politics - far more so than the day he left office, to say the least.)

Plus, like many here, I do feel the desire for some righteous payback.  Retributive justice demands that we tell the scumbag elect and his supporters what we think of him.

Being that he's at least something of a social conservative instead of only a fiscal conservative and a Dem on everything else, I think he'd be a great choice for the chair; he comes across as too arrogant to be the candidate, but he be a great chairman.

This is how I feel....I want to be adult about this...but I want to hammer on the lib-tards and Barry the same way they did President Bush.
