A Michigan Clerk Challenged Benson’s Deletion Rule, and a Judge Ordered the Records Saved.

Michelle McQueer wanted an answer before she deleted election files. Michigan’s secretary of state had a rule requiring deletion of electronic pollbook software and associated files after certification. Federal law required election records preserved for 22 months. The Bridgwater Township clerk challenged the rule, and now a judge has ordered the files saved statewide.

McQueer’s lawsuit names Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Elections Director Jonathan Brater, and the Michigan Department of State. What began as one clerk’s challenge now affects how officials must handle electronic pollbooks from the November 3 general election.

Election administration shouldn’t leave local officials wondering whether following a state directive could put them at odds with federal law. They have enough work running polling places without needing a lawsuit to clarify which records they may keep.

Why does Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's rule look like it's intended to obstruct/prevent election outcome challenges?

Former MIT scientist wins $6M defamation verdict against colleague who accused him of sexual misconduct

https://nypost.com/2026/10/18/us-news/former-mit-scientist-david-sabatini-wins-6m-defamation-verdict-over-sexual-misconduct-claims/

Quote
A former Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) scientist won a legal victory this week after losing his position following sexual misconduct allegations made by a female colleague.

Dr. David Sabatini, a former MIT biology professor and prominent biomedical researcher, was awarded $6 million in damages Friday after a jury found that his former colleague, Dr. Kristin Knouse, had defamed him.

At the time of the allegations, Sabatini had led a research lab at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for approximately 24 years.
...
In 2021, Sabatini lost his position at Whitehead following an internal investigation into allegations made by Dr. Kristin Knouse, a younger colleague who worked at the institute.

The pair met in 2012 and began a sexual relationship in 2018, which ended the following year, according to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital. Knouse later alleged the relationship was coerced.

According to records from the investigation, Whitehead also found that Sabatini had fostered a sexualized atmosphere in his lab. He subsequently resigned from the institute.

Following his departure from Whitehead — and amid an ongoing investigation at MIT — Sabatini filed a defamation lawsuit against Knouse, “alleging claims for defamation, tortious interference with contractual, prospective, and advantageous relations,” according to court documents.

Knouse subsequently filed a counterclaim against Sabatini, alleging sexual harassment.

Throughout the legal battle, Sabatini maintained that he had never fostered an improper atmosphere in his lab and that his relationship with Knouse was consensual.

During the trial, his attorney, Lisa Arrowood, cited text messages between the pair that she argued showed Knouse willingly participated in their relationship.
...
Sabatini and his legal team argued in court that the relationship was consensual. They also presented evidence they said showed that Knouse had become jealous of another woman in whom Sabatini was interested and had sought to have him fired.

Hopefully, Knouse actually pays that $6M. It probably will take multiple lawsuit outcomes to discourage using false sexual harassment accusations for career advancement.

Hopefully this 5 or 6 year ordeal taught Sabatini to control his zipper.

California released thousands of murderers, sexual predators and other criminals into streets with sanctuary policies: feds

https://nypost.com/2026/11/02/us-news/feds-slam-california-sanctuary-policies-over-release-of-violent-criminals/

Quote
The Department of Homeland Security has blasted California’s sanctuary policies, claiming the state released nearly 24,000 undocumented immigrants from jail since January 2025 rather than handing them over to ICE.

DHS said the cases involved more than 81,000 criminal charges or convictions, including 169 homicides, 147 sexual assaults, 1,097 assaults and 3,295 burglaries.

“Governor Gavin Newsom and his cronies in California have turned the Golden State into a hotbed of illegal alien crime,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

He added that sanctuary politicians have not only refused to cooperate with law enforcement and “released murderers, child abusers, kidnappers, and gang members back onto the street.”

Among the cases DHS highlighted as the most serious were five people it said Los Angeles County released despite ICE detainers.

Ninth Circuit Rules Trump Admin Can Request Noncitizen Ballot Separation

https://pjmedia.com/catherinesalgado/2026/11/03/ninth-circuit-rules-trump-admin-can-request-noncitizen-ballot-separation-n4958956

Quote
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Monday that the Trump administration can request that states separate out suspected noncitizen ballots in order to allow investigation. This was a much-needed win for election integrity right before Election Day.

More specifically, the circuit court granted a stay of a temporary restraining order that (allegedly) prevented the Trump administration from trying to ensure that officials could not count noncitizen ballots, or at least that they could not do so without legal consequences.

Philadelphia anti-Israel groups to stage ‘boycott ride’ past Jewish-owned restaurants on eve of Kristallnacht anniversary

Philadelphia anti-Israel groups are planning a bicycle ride targeting Jewish-owned businesses on the eve of the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the 1938 Nazi-orchestrated pogrom against Jews in Germany and Austria.

The “Boycott Ride,” organized by Philly Bike On Your Left in collaboration with Philly Writers Against the War on Gaza, Boycott CookNSolo and Philly Solidarity Calendar, is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Rittenhouse Square in the heart of Center City. A flier promoting the event states, “No business for Zionists,” adding, “These Zionist establishments must go.”

The flier names several Philadelphia businesses, including Dizengoff, a modern Israeli restaurant; Huda, a sandwich shop; Schlesinger’s Restaurant and Delicatessen, a Jewish deli; Mac Mart, a macaroni-and-cheese kiosk; K’Far Cafe, an Israeli cafe; and Goldie, a kosher falafel shop.

“Ride around Rittenhouse with us as we show these zio business owners that we see them for the disgusting humans they are,” organizers wrote.

The Anti-Defamation League of Philadelphia, American Jewish Committee of Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and StandWithUs released a joint statement on Monday calling the boycott ride “Jew-hatred, plain and simple.”

The antisemites are that if they get violent, the Philly DA won't prosecute.

Watchdog: Almost 10,000 Dead People on Los Angeles County Voter Rolls

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2026/11/02/watchdog-almost-10000-potentially-dead-voters-los-angeles-rolls/

Quote
There are nearly 10,000 dead people on Los Angeles County, California’s active voter rolls, the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) alleges in a Help America Vote Act complaint filed with state election officials.

The complaint raises serious concerns about California’s voter registration maintenance ahead of tomorrow’s midterm elections. Among the allegations, PILF lawyers “identified 9,766 potentially deceased active voter registrants” in Los Angeles County.

In addition, 1,279 duplicate registrations are also allegedly on Los Angeles County’s voter rolls, as well as 1,340 registrants with fictitious birth dates and over 700 registrants with birth dates that make them at least 110 years old.
