Parking Ticket

I stole this off substack, but hope you enjoy it.

PARKING TICKET: My wife and I went into town and visited a shop. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, "Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?" He just ignored us and continued writing the ticket.

I called him an "a**hole." He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires.

So my wife called him a "s*ithead." He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing more tickets.

This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. He finally finished, sneered at us and walked away. Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home.

We always look for cars with Trump stickers. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's so important at our age!!

Well, I will admit that that bit of fiction is step above pro-Iranian cartoon-videos showing:

* Buck Rogers missiles hitting a USN carrier with a deckload of fighters with single vertical stabilizers and twin-engine exhausts at the tail (not even an F-4);

* Missiles hitting a USN Yorktown class carrier (distinctive bridge and funnel);

* Missiles hitting a USN Colorado or New York class battleship (two-gun main gun turrets).

But it's still a stupid just-so story (i.e. far from being as good as Kipling's "The Elephant's Child").

It went on for 20 minutes? And the guy didn't just move on? He didn't call his supervisor to say someone was harassing him? All so you could feel like you were being a "resistor" by ruining some MAGA voter's day?

I think that makes you the shithead.

Police are not likely to issue parking tickets unless called, they have parking enforcement for that.

This never happened as they would have been arrested for disorderly conduct or obstruction.

Definitely a shithead, I heard this exact joke 10 years ago. One more reason to doubt it.
