Conservative advocacy group Democracy Restored released a report on Wednesday that shows a multi-year campaign of attorney disciplinary complaints aimed at lawyers who joined the Trump administration, represented Republican clients, and advanced election challenges. The investigation examined 181 bar complaints and related filings across 34 jurisdictions in 26 states between 2016 and 2026.

The filings targeted 122 lawyers, 44 non-lawyers, and five law firms. There were also 92 complaints regarding disputes over the 2020 election, according to the group's summary of its findings.

Additionally, the organization said it identified $16.4 million in documented funding tied to the effort, which the group labeled "Lawfare Consortium." The key figure behind the 65 Project lawfare is David Brock, founder of Media Matters.
