There's been a lot of criticism of Israel's (and specifically, Netanyahu's) conduct regarding Gaza and Lebanon, but nothing about Jewish belief.

Maher might want to talk to a broad range of actual people before making statements like that.

Um, I could point you to hundreds if not thousands.

Bill Maher mocks Democrats’ 'double standard' on faith, saying Jewish belief isn’t welcome

Comedian Bill Maher shot at what he portrayed as the double standard of the Democratic Party on religion during a CNN show segment on Friday. Maher said that a candidate's public faith is welcome only "as long as that faith isn't Jewish."

Maher's comments came after a segment on CNN's "Real Time" when Dana Bash discussed Texas Democrat James Talarico’s Christian faith, saying he "wears his faith on his sleeve" in a way Talarico believes could help him.


"Well, in the Democratic Party, as long as that faith isn’t Jewish, you’re good," Maher said.
