This May Be the Biggest Coverup In Our Nation's History

Nearly nine years after FBI officials opened a counterintelligence case asking the gravest question ever posed about an American president, The New York Times has returned to the scene with a story titled “How a Counterintelligence Inquiry Into Trump’s Russia Ties Was Derailed.”

The real scandal is not that the Times is finally putting Donald Trump’s Russia ties back on the front page after sleeping on this story for years. It is that, after years of behavior that should have set every counterintelligence alarm in Washington screaming, successive senior Justice Department officials managed to leave the central question unresolved: Was Trump a Russian asset, a useful idiot, a compromised opportunist, or something else entirely? Newly released FBI documents expose the institutional failure that allowed it to be buried without ever being answered.

The recently declassified FBI documents are extraordinary in spelling out what the abandoned investigation, strangely code-named “Oxferd Comma,” was supposed to answer. Opened on May 16, 2017, it sought to determine whether Trump was, “wittingly or unwittingly,” involved in activities for Russia and whether he was “directed by, controlled by, and/or coordinated activities with” the Russian Federation in a manner threatening American national security.

Think about this. Intelligence officials believed that there was at least the possibility that the president of the United States had acted or was acting as an agent of the Kremlin. This is not a hoax or a Democratic obsession. It is quite possibly a coverup of the biggest scandal in American history.

1. nothing in the last 10 years convinces me that putin does not totally control this drone
if oxferd comma was about to clear krasnov, their report would be on the best seller list.

1. The shamvestigation was opened in 2017 in retaliation for trump firing FBI Comey, with zero evidence of what supposedly was to be investigated.

2. The shamvestigation continued into 2019 or 2020 without finding any evidence of what supposedly was being investigated.
