Firm in the belief that immigration enforcement is bad for business, Southwest Airlines is pushing back hard against efforts to detain illegal immigrants at U.S. airports, according to a new report.

A report from The Wall Street Journal highlights a July 25 incident in which an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent tried to board a Southwest Airlines jet in Dallas.

The agent was prevented from carrying out his duties by the airline, the outlet reported.

Dallas-based Southwest staff also refused to share passenger information with ICE.

The Wall Street Journal cited a source it did not name as saying that in recent weeks, about a half-dozen other incidents involving Southwest have taken place.

The Media Line: UN Nutrition Survey Challenges Gaza Famine Narrative

A new UN-backed nutrition survey found exceptionally low levels of acute malnutrition among children in Gaza, challenging allegations of famine in the Strip.

The survey was conducted under the coordination of the Nutrition Cluster, the UNICEF-led body that oversees Gaza’s nutrition surveillance system. Researchers measured children’s weight, height and mid-upper-arm circumference before calculating the weight-for-height z-score, or WHZ, the standard indicator used by the World Health Organization and other organizations to assess acute malnutrition across populations.

According to the survey, acute malnutrition, as measured by WHZ, ranged from 0.2% to 0.8% across Gaza’s regions.

The findings also compared the current figures with Gaza’s prewar acute malnutrition rate of 0.8%, describing that level as relatively low and comparable to rates seen in developed countries. The survey said the figures were also below those reported in neighboring Egypt, at 2.9%, and Jordan, at 2.0%.

Hamas lies claiming famine in Gaza to slander Israel are flooding FB.

US hits jackpot after finding multi-million-ton critical mineral reserve in Nevada

Quote
A U.S. critical minerals company has recently confirmed the nation’s largest known tungsten resource at its Railroad Valley Minerals Project in Nye County, Nevada, despite a NASA land withdrawal restricting exploration across part of the site.

In its updated resource report, 3 Proton Lithium (3PL) said that the project hosts an inferred resource of 1.78 million tons of tungsten. The company revealed that the deposit is part of a mineral system that also contains world-class resources of lithium, potash, and boron.

As per 3PL, the deposit is reportedly five times larger than the biggest tungsten resource currently listed in the US and comes at a time when the country relies heavily on imports for the strategic metal. Its in-situ value is estimated at about USD 152 billion based on current market prices.

However, exploration across approximately 17 square miles of the project remains restricted by a NASA land withdrawal. The space agency uses the area to calibrate satellite instruments. It says mining could interfere with the facility’s operations.

I'm sure Enviros are busily preparing a lawsuit to block mining.
